The famous Jensen transformers, whose JDI is equipped, deliver a warm sound reminiscent of the best vintage equipment, which fully reproduces the natural sound of the instrument without any phase deviation or artifact. This perfect reproduction is also ensured by the Mu-Metal chassis of the JDI, which gives the transformers exceptional protection against electromagnetic disturbances, thus ensuring a signal devoid of any parasitic noise.

Like the J48, the JDI has features designed to cover the various situations encountered on stage or in the studio. It is equipped with a jack input and a thru-put output that can act as a second input when the Merge function is engaged, as well as an XLR output. The arsenal of the JDI would not be complete without the phase inverter and the mass switch, supplemented by a 15 dB PAD that allows the connection of sources of very high amplitude without any distortion. Add to this the unique Speaker function which, coupled to the 15 dB PAD, allows the connection of the JDI in parallel to a speaker to capture the color of the amplifier, while emulating a 12-inch speaker.

Because it is equipped with a transformer, the JDI perfectly isolates the instrument input from the balanced output, while eliminating hums and buzzs caused by ground loops.

Most passive DIs do not sound because they use low-grade steel or metal transformers. This has the effect of causing phase shifts at different frequencies: indistinct bass, no punch, dead mediums. This makes the mix more difficult to achieve.

The JDI uses a Jensen transformer with a nickel core. Nickel has no memory or polarity effect, reducing phase and harmonic distortions. Problems solved: superb sounds!
