Each of the 4 omnidirectionnal capsules are placed at the exact same distance from each other, forming a pyramidal diagram. This is called triangulation. This helps localizing each speaker’s placement on both horizontal and vertical planes. The use of such a technology is mainly intended to 2D and 3D speaker remapping.
