Made from a mixture of natural rubber, sulphur and linseed oil, ebonite is shaped through a dozen or so steps to produce beautiful mouthpieces with over 90% of the outer surface polished. Only the top will remain rough in order to avoid any inaccuracy that would be due to too much polishing.
