Most compressors yield very squashed high end and a lack of upper end clarity and definition, but Pulp n Peel saves your guitar's natural color and attack. Its low noise floor and super headroom allow it to be used as a boost in front of or behind your favorite overdrive/distortion or fuzz. It cooperates with single coils as well as humbuckers. The Blend knob allows to dial in your original untouched signal. Don't change the trim pot inside the pedal as it's set to a very specific voltage. Only works with a standard 9V power supply (not included). The V4 version has an added EQ control to darken or brighten the signal and Dirt toggle which works in conjunction with the added side accessible trim pot to activate your desired amount of dirt/overdrive into the signal path. The internal bypass buffer is also accessible now. The left side also has an XLR/DI output so that you can go directly into a mixer or studio interface, making the PnP an active DI channel, there is also a ground lift if the DI signal creates a hum.
