a brief story of rhythms < BR /> From its humble beginnings as a rhythmic medium for the organists, until the emblaissment of dance tracks with its implacable and hypnotic rhythms, the rhythm box is one of the least appreciated musical inventions. Without compromise in its metronomic precision, the rhythm box provides a flawless rhythmic section which never tires of playing the same loop of four measurements. However, when they are placed in the right hand and in the right musical context, they can be refined to create a breathtaking rhythmic art.

First rhythm box - Rhythmicon
The revolutionary Rhythmicon was created by the Russian inventor Leon Némin in 1931. The machine is the fruit of a Collaboration with the American composer Henry Cowell and can produce up to 16 different rhythms with a striking Bleepy sound.

Chamberlin rhythm
Rhythm was a pioneering rhythm box, which used band loops to create rhythms intended to accompany an organ player. The machine had 14 band loops with a sliding command that allowed the reading of different tracks on each piece of band that could be combined to create many variations.

Roland Compurhythm CR-78 < /B>

Among these sounds are the Kick, the Caisse Claire, the Rim, the Cow Bell, the Hi-Hats, the Cymbales, the Congas, the Bongos, the Tambourine and the Guiros. With 11 variation effects and the possibility of adjusting the tempo, accents and fade inputs, CR-78 is always capable of producing exquisite rhythms to use in ambient hip-hop and many other forms of music . Many people did not like his simplistic sound and preferred more expensive machines like the digital sampling londrum. However, the producers of the underground scene of tart music turned to the TR-808 and the whole range of Roland products, including the TB-303, the SH-101 and the TR-909, which gave to These boxes their icon status and their modern prices.

Quelle merveille ! ... (voir plus)
