Since Joe Hisaishi in 2005 had the opportunity to score such films of neighboring countries as Welcome to Dongmakol (Korea), A Chinese Tall Story (Hong Kong) and The Post-Modern Life of My Aunt (China) he became more conscious of Japan as part of Asia, evident in this album which expresses the glamour of this continent.
