The Novation Peak is an 8-voice polyphonic synthesizer in desktop format which presents, for each voice, 3 "New Oxford" oscillators. These are digitally controlled (DCO) and deliver true analog sound while enjoying the benefits of digital thanks to the 17 wave tables present. They can also offer a linear FM source by taking advantage of the analog rendering of CODs or digital wave tables, making it possible to cross-modulate in a recursive loop.
The Novation Peak also has a resonant multifunction analog filter for each voice with 3 distortion points - prefilter, postfilter and global - in an analog signal chain. He is sensitive to polyphonic aftertouch, which multiplies the machine's expression possibilities. Reverb, delay and chorus effects complete this arsenal, not to mention the built-in arpeggiator.
The modulation system includes a matrix with 16 locations and 16 direct assignments accessible in the main controls in order to facilitate the intuitive design of patches and the editing of sound. 3 ADSR envelopes and 2 Lfo are available for each voice but also more complex or secondary assignments thanks to a menu immediately available. In addition, 2 animated buttons allow the musician to instantly modify the patches. The Peak connects to modular systems through a CV modulation input and presents Midi inputs / outputs in DIN format (5 pins) for the connection of other Midi devices. In addition, it can be connected to a Mac or PC in order to save an unlimited number of patches using the Components software.

Je viens de le recevoir il y a une semaine et j'adore.. Très bon synthé avec des sons clairs comme je les aime (je fais de la musique ambient, new age, chillout), de la même veine que le supernova mais avec plus de punch. Et surtout une interface très agréable...
Très belle facture et j'adore presque autant le regarder qu'en jouer ;-)
