The WA-47jr is a modern FET version of the classic ‘47 and devoid of transformer which has been used in many tubes for the past 50 years. The WA-47jr is manufactured with discrete components and has three polar patterns, it is designed for use in professional studio, home studio, live, and broadcast. It is ideal for picking up voices, electric or acoustic instruments.
The WA-47jr uses a homemade reproduction of the vintage k47 capsule, designed with the same drilling pattern and the same frequency response. The Warm Audio version of this capsule (model WA-47-B-80v) is meticulously manufactured by an Australian capsule manufacturer who has the necessary know-how and skills and has enabled Warm Audio to capture the very essence of this type. microphone. The low noise of the WA-47jr and the entirely discrete signal path coupled with an excellent capsule of this type allows to obtain a sound very close to the conventional microphone ‘47, but at a contained price. The WA-47jr uses the same capsule as its big brother the WA-47 tube.
The circuit of the WA-47jr has been modernized and simplified compared to the classic ‘47 tube, it uses high quality Toshiba FETs, Wima film capacitors and Panasonic electrolytic capacitors.
