Mouthpiece - Vandoren - B40 LYRE Profile 88

An essential element in clarinet playing, the mouthpiece chosen must be meticulously chosen to match the musician's preferences as closely as possible. This series is available with two different chinrest angles: traditional and Profile 88. The only difference is the angle of the chinrest, so the musician is free to choose the model that will give him or her more ease of playing, easier and more precise release and better comfort due to a better position of the instrument.
The B40 Lyre Profile 88 mouthpiece: the perfect balance of a round and colourful sound, with ease of emission, especially in the upper register.

Vandoren, THE reference in clarinet mouthpieces.


If we no longer present the French firm, it is because all musicians know it. The impeccable reeds that come out of the French factory have made the brand known internationally, and each new mouthpiece that comes out of the R&D workshops is applauded by all the musicians in the world.

Comfort and playing situation options.


The majority of Vandoren mouthpieces are available in 3 different versions: the Traditional chinrest, the Profile 88, which is thinner and offers musicians another mouthpiece option, and the 13 Profile 88 series, with an American pitch (440 Hz).

Ebonite, an optimal material for mouthpiece making.


Made from a mixture of natural rubber, sulphur and linseed oil, ebonite is shaped through a dozen steps to finally produce sublime mouthpieces with over 90% of the outer surface polished. Only the table will remain rough in order to avoid any inaccuracy that would be due to too much polishing.

J'ai acheté ce bec pour succéder à celui de ma clarinette Yamaha 250 SUK: il s'emboite parfaitement dessus. Globallement il a la meme longueur de table que le bec 6C de la Yamaha mais il est plus ouvert, ce qui me permet de jouer des anches plus faibles et de jouer "en souplesse" (je taille moi meme mes anches à partir des vandoren classique 2.5). Ce bec m'a permis de progresser dans les passages entre le registre grave et l'aigü: mais il faut encore que je travaille ce point (il n'y a pas de miracle). Pour information, j'ai repris depuis quelques mois la clarinette: j'en avais fait 7 ans à mon adolescence. Sinonprix TRES COMPETITIF en ce moment ! Et commandé le lundi soir, recu le mercredi: impeccable!... (voir plus)
