Lauten Audio was founded nearly a decade ago during a time when a new brand or model of studio microphone was hitting the street what seemed like every week. Lauten Audio’s founder Brian Loudenslager saw a need for well thought-out microphones with truly unique character. Eight years ago Brian began work on their first studio microphone, the Horizon.

Working in collaboration with Grammy nominated Engineer/Producer Mike Terry and Theoretical Physicist, Dr. Charles Chen Ph.D, the three started putting their heads together on what they wanted to be a unique sounding work-horse studio microphone. Two years later the Horizon was introduced.

Fast-forward 8 years and Lauten Audio has become known as a leader in original sounding microphones with unique timbre and has garnered a loyal following.

Today, Brian continues to collaborate with industry professionals in order to achieve a fresh look at what the next original sounding microphone should be.
