Before leading the brand that still bears his name today, the late Vic Firth was first and foremost an accomplished percussionist who practiced his art under the baton of the greatest conductors in the Boston Symphony Orchestra. His first pair of chopsticks was designed to meet the needs of a musical piece for which he wanted a particular sound and touch. Assisted by the greatest drummers on the planet, the designers of the brand have maintained this requirement to market - among others - the American Classic series which brings together the basis of models to adapt to each hand and especially to each musical context.

The 5A, flagship and versatile model par excellence.
If we ask ourselves the question of choosing a pair of chopsticks, we will go to a 7A if it is a child, and to a 5A for an adult. At all manufacturers, and of course at Vic Firth, this model has similar characteristics: a handle that holds well in hand, a balanced weight, a profile cut for all electrical music and a teardrop-shaped olive that fits any type of cymbals and skins.
