Based on RØDE's award-winning NTG3 shotgun microphone, the NTG8 is an HF condenser shotgun microphone offering even more precise directivity over a wide bandwidth. This is why the NTG8 is a perfect microphone for cinema, television, sports reporting, outdoor recording, concerts and all professional applications where the source is relatively far away. Like the NTG3, the NTG8 features low self-noise and natural sound with no colouration in and out of axis. HF (?RF Bias?) technology allows it to be used in high humidity locations where traditional condenser microphones cannot be used. Matte black, the NTG8 features a custom-designed SM8 suspension to protect it from handling noise. Equipped with a cable guide, it offers many mounting possibilities. The microphone also comes with a strong aluminum cylinder, providing optimal protection for transport and storage. The WSNTG8 windscreen completes the list of supplied accessories.
