With the Discreet Compact series, AKG offers an alternative for budget-restricted installations. That's why the Comreet Compact series of swan necks are offered with a single flexible section, direct mounting between the gooseneck and the capsule itself, and a standard 3-point XLR connector.
A specific feature of the Discreet Compact series is that the gooseneck and capsule form an inseparable whole. The front grille is secured to the gooseneck and the internal contacts are welded. This protects the delicate capacitor capsule from mechanical stress and electromagnetic interference, ensuring optimal reliability and excellent audio quality.
The gooseneck base has an XLR connector whose contacts are gold plated. The metal body houses the electronic part of the microphone. The flexible section is robust and allows you to position the microphone precisely.
