Description

The RØDE VideoMic is a professional quality 1/2 ?condenser gun microphone for consumer video cameras and personal audio recorders. The integrated Rycote® Lyre® suspension perfectly isolates the VideoMic's capsule and electronics from the metal shoe and therefore from external physical factors that could degrade the quality of the recording by vibrations and snoring. Made of a wear-resistant thermoplastic piece, the Lyre® cradle offers superior quality acoustic suspension over traditional elastic suspensions because it does not wear out, sag or break.

The standard size shoe has a 3/8 ?thread for mounting on a microphone stand or pole. With a super-cardioid directivity, the VideoMic is focused on the subject in front of the capsule and minimizes lateral and rear ambient noise. In addition to a bandwidth of 40Hz ~ 20kHz, it offers a switchable high-pass filter (80Hz) which cuts out low-frequency noise from air conditioning or traffic, for example. A PAD attenuation selector (?10dB or ?20dB) is located in the battery compartment and allows you to record high-level sources such as concerts or car races. The RØDE VideoMic directional camera microphone is designed and manufactured in Australia, and covered by the remarkable RØDE 10-year warranty.
