To facilitate its use, the GB8 offers, in its master section, 4 quick-access mute programs, 11 12-LED meters for controlling the different levels of inputs and outputs, complemented by a 3-meter band on the outputs LCR. Each input is equipped with a 4-LED signal level indicator. A recording output has a limiter to prevent saturation of the signal. The rear panel that gathers the whole connectivity is, as on the GB4, inclined at 15 °. This arrangement is intended to facilitate cabling operations when the console is installed in a flight case or in an inaccessible space. Three slots on the top of the console are available for gooseneck lighting installation. The electronic circuits of each input and output module are independent and mounted vertically, making maintenance operations easier and faster.
