The Cloudlifter CL-1 Mic Activator is a very easy to use and space-saving tool which solves a recurring problem when using certain dynamic or ribbon microphones: the lack of gain and the problems caused when trying to have more.
Designed specifically for passive microphones, the CL-1 is inserted between the microphone and its preamplifier to provide + 25dB of ultra-transparent gain. It uses the phantom power (+ 48v) of the microphone preamplifier to feed itself without the risk of damaging the microphone connected to it.
The Cloudlifter drastically improves the quality of the signal emitted by passive microphones by producing a stronger, cleaner signal and over longer XLR cable lengths. It is an ideal solution for live, broadcast or studio. Its steel chassis offers excellent insulation and it will easily adapt to a microphone stand thanks to its attachment system.
