Introducing the HT-5R MKII

In 2008, our HT-5 took the world by storm, setting a precedent for low-power home and studio amps. Now, the MkII takes that revered design a step further with incredible performance and game-changing new features, from 0.5W dynamic power reduction and footswitchable vocals to XLR DI output and direct USB recording.

The grit of low-power tubes

Tube amps sound better when they're fired up. The unique feel, dynamics, and natural compression of a hot tube power stage are widely considered the holy grail of guitar sound. The problem is that cranking up your 100W tube amp at these volumes is not practical for you or your neighbors. Our HT-5R MkII with its low-power 12BH7 push-pull power amp produces the crunch and breakup characteristics of a traditional 100W output stage at volumes suitable for practice and home recording.

Perfect for practice and recording

In addition to providing capture-ready tube tones at any volume, the HT-5R MkII features a direct USB output for the easiest way to get a tube tone into your recordings without the need for an interface. A fully specified stereo recording output via XLR and jack with selectable 4 × 12 or 1 × 12 speaker simulation options is also included.
The best part? These amps have built-in load protection, which means you can use them without a connected cabinet for quiet practice and recording.

Professional recording connectivity

A USB output has been added for the easiest way to get a valve tone in your recordings. A balanced XLR DI pro output is also added, allowing you to connect the simulated speaker signal (selectable 4x12 or 1x12) to external devices for practice, recording or live use.

Power Reduction

Inspired by our patented Dynamic Power Reduction circuitry, you can simply switch to 0.5 watts at the touch of a button without any loss of tone. Perfect for feeding the 12BH7 power stage at lower volumes.

Patented ISF

The patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) control is unique to Blackstar Amplification and represents a major advance in tone shaping flexibility. The ISF control shifts the response of the three-tone control stack between a US-style response at one end and a UK-style response at the other. Most importantly, between the two extremes is an infinite number of alternative tone choices that would otherwise be unavailable.

Magnifique, c est mon tout premier ampli étant débutant. Je joue dessus avec une strat, les clean sont profonds, chauds, grâce au deux voice le gain de puissance en clean et overdrive est très stylé. Là foot switch est très plaisante. Je joue en appart a 0.5 w ça suffit largement ???? le grain lampe et parfait. Le Isf, le graal chez black star. J hésité entre plusieurs modèles 5 a 20 w à lampe et ne regrette pas. Ayant testé beaucoup d ampli il n a rien à envier à certain ampli à 800 ou 1000 balles. L overdrive est nettement au dessus de mes espérances, grain américain top british bien incisif, n hésitez pas. Merci woodbrass commandé le jeudi matin reçu le vendredi matin, vous êtes au top comme d habitude. Black star est vraiment top sur ce type de petit ampli, bien au dessus de Marshall, bugera... ( même gamme de prix)en qualité de son ainsi qu en conception. Bref que du bon !! ... (voir plus)

Très bon petit ampli à lampe. Un style Marshall légèrement acidulé. Petit regret, les branchements se réalisent par le dessous et non en façade arrière. Mais ce qui pourra être un avantage pour ceux qui collent leurs amplis au mur.

Overdrive un peu vigoureux (humbuckers costauds...). Très beau son, surtout en clean, presque frustrant tellement c'est directement bon avec un minimum de réglages. L' OD, il faut un peu plus tâtonner.. Beau produit

Son clair moins clair que mon vox ac15 Par contre en mettant sur 0,5w on peut pousser les lampes même en appart et avoir un joli son saturé ce que ne permet pas le vox qui est trop puissant pour jouer en appart
