It is controlled by the side chain amplifier containing the two control circuits, one for fixed time parameters (attack and release), the other for variable parameters. This control circuit is made from operational amplifiers.
The gain reduction stage is followed by an all-tube push-pull amplifier with variable gain up to +30 dB. A three-position bus selector (Off, Bus 1, and Bus 2) allows multiple compressors to be combined with each other. Input and output transformers have static shielding between primary and secondary. The input and output are fully symmetrical and floating.
