The Audix OM7 dynamic microphone is used by many professional musicians, sound engineers and is featured on many stages around the world. The Audix OM7 delivers unprecedented gain on concert-level stages without sacrificing sound quality. In addition, the microphone is very resistant to feedback on extremely loud stages and for performers who tend to “mute” the microphone with both hands.
In order to achieve these extraordinary performance benefits, the OM7 microphone is designed with an unconventional output level (8 to 10 dB lower than standard dynamic microphones). This low output level acts as a natural “buffer” at the capsule level to maintain high fidelity at the source. The Audix OM7 microphone is best suited for use with high quality mixing consoles that have plenty of room to compensate for the low gain.
