You want to play when and where you like, without being confined to a time or place... Yamaha’s next generation SILENT Brass™ makes it possible. The new SILENT Brass™ consists of a smaller, lighter, freer blowing Pickup Mute™, and the Personal Studio™, which features Yamaha’s exclusive Brass Resonance Modeling™. Used together, the two deliver the natural acoustic tone you hear when playing without a mute, making it feel as though you are playing mute free.

The Pickup Mute™ combines a high-performance mute with an internal microphone to pickup sound. Significantly smaller and lighter than previous versions, the mute offers superior muting performance, delivers excellent intonation over a wide pitch range, and natural playability. A new compact design now lets you put your instrument in its case with the mute in the bell.

* Please note that the Pickup Mute™ may not fit some instruments with significantly different bell shapes or bell diameters. Please check before purchasing.

Brass Resonance Modeling™


The SILENT Brass™ features Yamaha’s unique technology, which uses the modeling of non-muted brass instruments to correct your instrument’s tone when the Pickup Mute™ is in place. The resulting sound is so realistic, it’s hard to tell whether the instrument is muted, or not.

The SILENT Brass™ Offers More Enjoyment


Connect the output from an audio player, smartphone, etc. to the AUX IN jack on the Personal Studio™ and enjoy playing along with your favorite recordings or “minus one” practice aids. The PHONES jack can also be used as an output jack for recording what you play.

* Do not use the AUX IN jack when using the PHONES jack as an output jack.

super outils pour répéter en tranquillité. Très peu de son qui sort pour les autres et rendu dans les oreilles très agréable. J'avais déjà le tout premier modèle d'il y a 15 ans, c'était déjà pas mal, ici, c'est vraiment super. On y a perdu un peu dans les effet réverbe et autres mais les 2 proposées permettent de bien travailler l'attaque des sons. Fonctionne avec des piles et ça tient vraiment longtemps plusieurs heures.

Très bon appareil, semble robuste dans le temps. Utilisé sur un cor, il permet de répéter ses morceaux convenablement, sans changement d'habitude dans le jeu. Le "mixage" pour jouer sur des morceaux via le téléphone par exemple en entrée pourrait être amélioré, mais c'est un détail par rapport à la qualité sonore du rendu de l’instrument via le micro et donc les écouteurs.

Wow! I had the previous iteration of the Silent Brass. But, wow! What a difference. When using the supplied headphones it seems as if the sound was coming straight out of the bell!! Produit réellement silencieux , qui permet de jouer sans incommoder son entourage ,et ceci dans la même pièce . Le niveau sonore est si faible dans la pièce que l on peut avoir un téléviseur allumé sans que cela soit gênant.

Excellent pour la pratique en appartement! Yamaha a conçu un outil pour les amateurs/professionnels du cor d'harmonie idéal. Rajoute cependant un poids non négligeable à l'instrument et le son est tellement timbré qu'il donne un rendu flatteur !
