Description

The SERIES 208i audio / MIDI interface is an appropriate choice for professional studio and live recording. It brings up to 20 inputs and 2 audio outputs to your computer in MacOS or Windows or to your iOS device, for recording and playback up to 192 kHz / 24 bits, with the superb sound quality specific to Tascam.

This versatile USB interface is controlled via the delivered software; it incorporates a powerful DSP mixer for applying digital reverb, compression, reverse polarity and 4-band EQ for each channel. Integrating this processor into the interface eliminates all latency issues, and relieves your computer's processor, allowing it to more efficiently manage audio data.

A high-performance sound card:
The new USB driver provides excellent stability and reliable performance throughout all phases of your projects. The four microphone / line / instrument inputs on the Combo connector are equipped with Tascam microphone preamps with Ultra-HDDA technology, ensuring a transparent and natural sound and low background noise. The phantom power (48 volts) is activated independently per channel.

The interface supports a maximum of 10 inputs (eight in 192 kHz), both multichannel optical ports supporting up to 16 audio channels from ADAT or S / MUX compatible devices. The 8 x 6.35 mm line outputs allow you to manage multiple listening systems or a surround system (up to 7.1 format), and two headphone outputs with independent volume control are available. A wordclock input / output ensures proper synchronization with other digital audio devices.

You can also connect your favorite MIDI devices to the MIDI input / output on the rear panel, for use with your recording software. The interface is easy to install on any work surface, and its tilt makes it easy to access all controls on the front panel. The large front panel Monitor fader provides a quick setting of the Monitor output level, and the Monitor Balance knob conveniently mixes live input signals with the signal read from the computer. overdubs without latency.

Software included:
The delivered software allows you to work immediately on your project. Tascam's free, easy-to-use control software helps you manage faders, processing and routing of all audio inputs (analog, optical and USB) to any audio output; the interface comes with Steinberg Cubase LE audio workstation software, for macOS and Windows, and the Cubasis LE iPad app.

With the AmpliTube guitar effects / modeling software and the IK Multimedia T-RackS mastering software, you get all the tools you need to create high-quality, flawless recording projects. IK Multimedia software comes as a stand-alone and plug-in version for more flexible recording, mixing and mastering.

Difficile de donner un avis, je n'ai cette carte son que depuis quelques jours et n'ai pas encore eu l'occasion de la tester à fond. Je peux simplement dire que ça a l'air du solide, bien fabriquée, elle s'installe facilement, tout de suite reconnue par mes différents logiciels (cubase, ableton reaper, audacity). Les logiciels et plugings fournis avec sont plus difficiles à installer, j'ai même laissé cette opération de côté pour l'instant pour la reprendre quand j'aurai plus de temps devant moi

C'est un peu tôt pour noter cette carte son, achetée sur les conseils de WOODBRASS. Pour le moment j'en suis content. (Auparavant j'ai eu 2 cartes sons BEHRINGER UMC 404, qui m'ont lâché toutes les deux... juste après la garantie. Bizarre non?) (SIC) Alors on va attendre à l'usure comme on dit.
