Ebonite, an optimal material for mouthpiece construction. Made from a mixture of natural rubber, sulphur and linseed oil, ebonite is shaped through a dozen or so steps to produce beautiful mouthpieces with over 90% of the outer surface polished. Only the top will remain rough in order to avoid any inaccuracy that would be caused by too much polishing.
