The 2028 is equipped with a supercardioid capsule with the famous linear response off-axis DPA. This gives it a very high gain before feedback and allows the sound engineer to easily manage the sound of other instruments of the stage. The 2028 captures these out-axis sounds in the most natural way possible and without district.
Its design is totally new. Its capsule is fixed on a suspension that effectively isolates it from parasitic noises and can not be disassembled. This suspension and anti pop have been specially developed for the 2028.
On stage, the 2028 will offer you the same clear and natural sound as other DPA microphones. No need (or very little) equalizer to ring as if you were in acoustics.
So you can play with your voice as if no microphone was present, the technical constraint disappears and the performance is only better. Mixing side, this allows the sound engineer to focus solely on the sound of the voice without further having to correct technical defects related to microphones
