The recorder series 20 and 30 are designed to provide a great start to everyone's musical education. They have ideal blast resistance for better control, and have a precise intonation that is usually found only in more expensive models. While some plastic models made by other brands look similar, Yamaha's ABS recorders are really superior. The models are available with two types of fingerings: "German" or "Baroque". The Series 20 instruments, whose playability is excellent throughout the range, are primarily intended for beginners. Those of the 30 series, with their arched channel for improved breath control and tonal expression, are reserved for more experienced musicians.
