If this microphone capsule is used indoors at medium recording distances (i.e. when the direct sound energy is similar in quantity to the reflected sound energy), its overall response will be linear. Its wide frequency response and low noise level make it suitable for the most demanding applications.
The MK 2H's acoustic input is narrower than our other pressure transducers, resulting in a slight rise in purely acoustic response/capture above 6 kHz. This reduces high frequency loss for diffuse sound, helping to preserve natural sound quality.
