Description

The KeyStep is a portable instrument combining the functionality of a keyboard controller with, in addition, a polyphonic 'Step Sequencer' and enough to control analog and digital devices.

The KeyStep keyboard is a special Arturia design, a balance between the characteristics of the best compact mini-keys with the comfort of normal size keys. The size, velocity and aftertouch of this new design offer freedom of portability without sacrificing playability.

An ultra-compact keyboard without compromise.
In general, portable keyboards involve sacrificing buttons, functions and connectors. This is why, when you discover the reduced dimensions of the KeyStep, you cannot imagine that it has Midi inputs and outputs, CV-gate and even analog sync. But why an analog sync? We save the best for you: the KeyStep also includes a sequencer.

A master keyboard with flawless keys.
Arturia has designed a keyboard specially designed for the KeyStep. Result? On a portable keyboard, you have slim keys (halfway between large and small keys) pleasant to play and which respond precisely to your playing and your sensitivity. But Arturia went even further: the KeyStep keyboard also responds to velocity and even aftertouch.

USB, Midi, CV and synchro: open to the analog and digital world.
If you see so many KeyStep in Salons, festivals, or even in the studio, it is because it can connect to any environment: USB to control a computer, CV-gate for controlling analog instruments or modules and, finally, the Midi to work with digital synthesizers or expanders. On the synchro side, note that the KeyStep manages all the different digital or analog standards: it will therefore be able to synchronize with your software on PC as well as with Korg Volca or a MatrixBrute Arturia.

Polyphonic sequencer and arpeggiator.
The KeyStep also offers a polyphonic sequencer with 8 memories. This is completed by an arpeggiator with 8 playing patterns. This sequencer is ideal for controlling a modular Eurorack system, but why not synchronize it with a Korg Volca chain? Your KeyStep then turns into a musical hub, and becomes the nerve center of your environment, as complete as it is.
