The ZED analog consoles developed by Allen & Heath all have a USB port that allows them to transmit a simple stereo signal to a computer. While retaining the analog design and ruggedness that made the ZED series so popular, the ZEDi-8 expands digital capabilities by integrating a 2-input / 2-output USB audio interface in 24-bit to 96 kHz.

The ZEDi-8 was clearly designed for artists who want to register with their computer with confidence, without difficulty and especially without having to carry all the gear of audio equipment. To do this, the ZEDi-8 is delivered with the famous Cubase LE music production software, which will facilitate all your recordings, their editing and mixing, and this track by track. Its wide range of editing and sequencing tools can be used for a wide range of music styles and application areas. This software is also available on iPad to directly record on your mobile device (requires a USB B cable to Lightning or a specific adapter not supplied).

Beyond its digital qualities, the ZEDi-8 is characterized by new preamps called GSPre, originally developed for the GS-R24 professional studio console. These preamps deliver the warm and deep sound that made the brand famous, while ensuring an extremely low noise level and a massive headroom. The MusiQ 2-band EQ has been finely calibrated to ensure high precision and musical response. Allen & Heath also thought of guitarists by giving this console two high-impedance jack inputs, allowing the connection of two guitars directly on the mixer, without requiring the use of a direct box.
