These are simply the best 9 pin triode tubes you can find for your preamp. They are designed and tested specifically for amplifying musical instruments and are standard on Fender amps. They offer exceptional performance and sustained yield. You won't find a better way to create your signature sound with your amp. The low gain tube used in Fender's earliest amps. It can replace a 12AX7 tube if you want less gain and it produces a slightly warmer sound. It's perfect for harmonica and blues, when you need smoother, compressed distortion at lower volume levels.
