A complete sound system that can be carried along with your instrument: this is the MAUI 28 G3. The two half-columns in their padded shoulder bag, the subwoofer in one hand, the guitar or keyboard in the other - and off you go! The system, which serves as both a front-of-house system and a monitor, is easy to set up thanks to the special multipoint connectors. The MAUI 28 G3 is equipped with two 8-inch bass drivers, sixteen 3-inch midrange drivers and two 1-inch neodymium magnet tweeters. These drivers are powered by a lightweight, Class D amplifier with a whopping 2000W peak power handling capacity, providing punchy bass, well-balanced mids and smooth, accurate highs. LD Systems' proprietary DynX® DSP technology ensures excellent performance in all situations without distortion. It uses a multi-band limiter to prevent overload, an equalizer, a compressor and a 3-band crossover with phase correction.
The line array design of the MAUI 28 G3 provides longer range, better feedback resistance and wider coverage, eliminating the need for separate stage monitors. The tweeter waveguide was developed using finite element analysis (BEM) for numerical simulation of radiation and sound energy distribution. It reduces reflections from the floor and ceiling, avoids edge effects, and achieves even dispersion. In other words, the audience can hear you from the back row as well as the front!
