Description

The Kiwi is our flagship multi-pattern FET microphone, and it represents the ultimate in vocal and instrument recording. A pure product of our inimitable heritage of design and innovation, the Kiwi delivers premium vocal sound to inspire unique performances. A choice of nine polar diagrams provides unlimited creative freedom regardless of the recording session. And the sound of the Kiwi - shimmering, elegant highs with well-articulated mids and full lows - handily wins over the most revered of vintage mics when it comes to recording vocal tracks in top quality.

PRESENT ON ALL THE SPECTRUM
Precisely engineered, handcrafted, and crafted to perfection, the Kiwi delivers outstanding results in any recording session. It combines the low noise level and superb transient response of our proprietary FET (Field Effect Transistor) circuit with smooth mids and crisp, airy highs that highlight vocals, guitar, bass piano and other solo instruments. The result is a full, well-articulated sound that emerges from the mix, while remaining silky rather than aggressive. The Kiwi even captures the delicate resonances of female voices with vibrant detail.

9 DIRECTIVITIES
With a choice of nine different polar diagrams, the sound of the Kiwi can overcome any recording conditions and adapt to any application. Capture the ultimate vocal performance with 'big sound'. Record multiple singers at once. Try unconventional vocal treatments, or capture the voice and sound of the room simultaneously. Each diagram allows you to fine-tune the Kiwi's timbre and directionality for endless creative options. Simply switch between cardioid, omnidirectional, shape-8, and any intermediate setting to find the directivity that best suits your application.

COMPONENTS SORTED ON THE SHUTTER
The Kiwi is designed and handcrafted in the USA for a lifetime of service. Our famous Bottle Cap B6 and its acoustically matched twin capsules, with large diaphragm and single backplate, provide unparalleled sonic character and frequency response for any polar pattern. With transformerless operation and discrete circuitry, nothing can compromise signal fidelity, so you get the purest sound possible with every recording session.
