The exclusive capsule of this microphone has been designed to excel in applications which require an admissible high level of acoustic pressure, with a very balanced rendering. Hypercardiooid directivity reduces lateral and rear sound intake, for better insulation of the desired sound source. Its small size allows it to be ideally placed, as close as possible to the instrument, in a wide variety of configurations. The ATM230 is perfectly suited for the proximity sound recording of the Toms, Caisse Claire and other percussion.
