The JRX212 is a compact stage monitor with a small footprint, which preserves the viewer's visibility and saves the occupancy of scenic space. Nothing is more important for a stage monitor than its clarity in medium frequencies. The performance in this part of the spectrum has been incredibly optimized. With a sensitivity of 98 dB (1W / 1m), the JRX212 generates a significant sound level even with a modest amplification. Versatile, it is equipped with a double-angled base for suitable positioning in facade use.
The speakers of the JRX200 series deliver the performance and quality of the JBL brand for a more than affordable price. To bring these two parameters often apart, JBL has to thoroughly review all the components of a professional speaker and keep what was essential for quality, while eliminating what was not. High volume manufacturing methods have reduced manufacturing costs to allow the JRX200 series to offer the best value for money in the mobile PA market.
Progressive Transition Wave Guide
The design of the Progressive Transition waveguide on the JRX200 is an example of JBL innovation. For decades, roof designers have had to compromise between well-controlled dispersion, low distortion and good frequency response. With the PT waveguide, JBL has developed proprietary algorithms that give the best performance in all three areas.
Hardware
All JRX models are fitted with non-resonant steel handles and reinforcement bars. The entire enclosure is protected by a steel grid.
JBL transducers
All loudspeakers and compression chamber motors used in the JRX200 range are manufactured by JBL Professional in Northridge, California. The use of the 2414H-C 25 mm (1 ") compression chamber motor improves performance at high frequencies and the reliability of different models.
Enclosure construction
To build the JRX loudspeakers, JBL selected solid materials of superior acoustic quality. To ensure their solidity, they are assembled using glues and efficient fastening systems. Not only the enclosure but also the internal partitioning elements are more rigid, thus making it possible to obtain a better performance in the low frequencies.
SonicGuard
Whether due to feedback, dropped microphones, or overloaded amplifiers, the acute transducers in a speaker are often put to the test. This is why the JBL JRX200 incorporates SonicGuard protection technology. SonicGuard circuits absorb the excess energy without interrupting the diffusion. No more fuses to replace, circuit breakers to reactivate or multi-switches which degrade the sound quality.
