Flexibility and modularity
The 2006C is part of the highly flexible DPA Reference Standard range. The 2006C model is equipped with the compact MMP-C preamplifier, it subtly modifies the timbral balance, giving a little more "body" to the low register, and brings greater ease of placement. It is possible at any time, without tools, to transform a basic 2011 microphone into a new configuration, by combining it with another capsule or another DPA preamp.
Double diaphragm capsule technology
The overall sound image of the DPA miniature microphones is distinguished by such a successful balance that it meets the high demands of the DPA Reference Standard range. In an MMC2006 capsule, two miniature capsules are mounted back to back, constituting a single capsule / double membrane assembly. This combines the advantages of small capsules (fast impulse response, extended frequency response) with the reduced background noise level characteristic of large membranes. These capsules are connected to the excellent Reference Standard preamps instead of the tiny FET preamps used in miniature mics, which offers even more air and precision.
