The Teenage Engineering OP-Z is a fully portable 16-track synthesizer with a range of sounds based on samples and synthesizers. It's the world's first standalone sequencer of its kind, allowing you to sequence music, visuals, lights and more.
The OP-Z can be used completely independently and comes with an LED-lit interface. When you want higher-level real-time visual feedback, use the screen you already have in your pocket!
The advantage of the OP-Z is its ability to execute each track completely independently of each other. Tracks can be at different speeds, have different lengths and loop points. Separate tracks can even be cut back and forth irregularly and randomly. Using this, you can create a more or less different sequence sound each time it is repeated in your composition.
The tracks of the OP - Z are polymetric, which means that each track has a dynamic track length of 1 to 144 steps allowing to work in high or low resolution. You can choose to go completely off the network. Thanks to real-time melodic analysis, you can automatically transpose entire sequences at different scales over six octaves.
