The Tortex was invented by Jim Dunlop in 1981 to replace the tortoiseshell. Over the decades, this material has established itself as THE standard of the genre by allowing musicians of all styles to find the perfect pick for their type of play.

The Tortex is the legendary pick that can be heard on many albums that made the history of rock. It is available in a wide variety of thicknesses, shapes and colors: to each its Tortex!
