La guitare, c'est mille façons d'aborder le jeu selon l'instrument qu'on a entre les mains. La guitare électrique frappe fort et se plie à tous les styles. La folk respire, avec cette rondeur qui porte la voix. La classique travaille en finesse, cordes nylon sous les doigts. Et la basse tient tout l'édifice, groove et assise du morceau.
Côté références, on retrouve les maisons qui ont écrit l'histoire : Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, Ibanez pour l'électrique ; Martin, Taylor, Takamine ou Lâg pour l'acoustique. De quoi trouver l'instrument qui colle vraiment à sa main.
Reste à compléter l'équipement : les accessoires indispensables au jeu comme à l'entretien, une belle sélection de ukulélés, et des modèles pensés pour gauchers.
L'ampli, c'est là que le son prend vie. Un Marshall qui mord, un Vox tout en clarté chimey, un Blackstar aux graves épais : le choix de l'ampli change tout, avant même de toucher les cordes. Et selon qu'on branche une guitare électrique, une basse ou une électro-acoustique, ce n'est pas le même ampli qu'il faut.
Vient ensuite le terrain de jeu des effets : un overdrive pour épaissir une rythmique, un delay pour aérer un solo, une reverb pour placer le son dans l'espace, ou tout l'univers des modulations. Et pour avoir tout sous le pied, les multi-effets réunissent des dizaines de sons dans un seul boîtier.
