The back and sides of this new guitar are made of composite (HPL) with a magnificent Koa motif generated from a premium Hawaiian Koa specially selected from our Martin wood reserves. A mother-of-pearl rosette on its Sitka spruce top and the key inlays enhance the luster of this model while the new handle, bridge and solid wood fingerboard make the instrument lighter, more balanced and offer better sound transfer. This guitar is fitted with Fishman MX electronics and mounted with Martin Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 strings, giving the D-X2E Koa a sound that matches its aesthetic appeal. Add to that a new soft padded cover with head, bridge and strap attachments, as well as a durable water repellant exterior, and this model truly becomes a guitar ready for the stage.
