Description

GS MINI-e Maple Bass

The Taylor GS Mini-e Maple Bass is your go-to bass at home, on the tour bus and even on stage! As soon as inspiration strikes, you will be able to write, record and perform. Sharing the same scaled down grand symphony body as its guitar sister, it’s incredibly easy to play with the short scale, compact body and light weight. As a guitarist the transition to playing the Mini-e Bass is smooth as can be. Kids, beginners and people with smaller hands will enjoy playing it for the above reasons. The Sitka spruce top and maple back- and sides offers a classic tonewood combination resulting in punch, directness and a lot of resonance. The neck has a scale length of 23-1/2-inch and is set up with special custom nylon-core D’addario strings producing a warm and clear sound. On board you will find an ES-B pickup so you are able to plug the bass into an amplifier or PA and experience great tone. The preamp has a built-in chromatic tuner and a tone control for further equalizing. Then there is volume control for the level of output. The GS Mini-e Bass comes with a sturdy hard bag for easy transport.

GS Mini

A scaled-down GS that’s anything but small.
  • Scaled-down Grand Symphony body
  • Great for all playing styles
  • Considered a modern-day parlor guitar
The award-winning GS Mini was designed to be the ultimate musical companion, wherever you go — or stay. Inspired by the big, bold sound of Taylor's GS body shape, the Mini scales things down without skimping on sound, packing a ton of tone into a comfortable travel size and giving you a guitar that's full-voiced and incredibly fun to play. Think of the Mini as a modern-day parlor guitar, perfect for playing around the house but also built to fit an active lifestyle.

Layered Maple

Layered maple is a popular tonewood choice for players seeking an attractive guitar at a reasonable price. Ideal for beginner players or seasoned musicians seeking a reliable instrument that will last the years - the construction method enables the conservation of tonewood resources and stands up to the rigours of climate variation and humidity fluctuation.

Sitka Spruce

Sitka Spruce is the most commonly used wood for guitar tops. Sitka generates a broad dynamic range and accommodates numerous playing styles from aggressive strumming to fingerpicking. As a guitar soundboard, Sitka spruce is the tonewood standard of the modern era. It’s used on 85-90 percent of the guitars that Taylor makes. Its combination of strength and elasticity translates into a broad dynamic range, yielding crisp articulation and allowing for everything from aggressive strumming and flatpicking to fingerpicking.

ES-B

This version of our ES-B electronics incorporates Taylor’s Expression System® 2 piezo design elements and features a multifunctional onboard preamp with a built-in digital chromatic tuner and active tone-shaping EQ control. The preamp/tuner unit features an LED display for tuning and low battery indication, along with a Volume control and 3-band EQ. The preamp/tuner is powered by a 9v battery. With an alkaline battery, battery life expectancy when using the preamp only is over 500 hours, and when using the tuner is over 50 hours. Plugging in the guitar will activate the battery. A low battery indicator on the LED display (located on the preamp circuit board) will light up when the battery reaches 4.5 volts.
