The 000-18 is the original Orchestra Model, the Martin of reference for almost a century, chosen by generations of musicians. It's up to you to discover the unspeakable qualities of this great classic.
The 000 shape was the brand's largest size until the invention of the dreadnought, and its popularity has remained intact thanks to its excellent grip and well-balanced sound, without the overpowering bass of the larger models. The 000 shares its shape with the OM, but differs in that it has a shorter fingerboard, making it easier to pull strings for bends that are a bluesman's delight. Guitarists with smaller hands will undoubtedly be much more at ease, especially as the neck profile is the famous Performing Artist, a light oval that's easy to grip.
The sound of the 18 series has always been the result of a tried-and-tested blend of woods: Sitka spruce for the top, mahogany for the sides and back. The roundness and warmth of the latter perfectly balances the brilliance and stiffness of the former, for an ideal marriage in blues and folk, with fingers or picks.
The 18 series has no flashy decorations, but imposes a simple, timeless class. The butterbean button action, rosewood headstock veneer and tortoiseshell body binding are just some of the details that make the difference for true connoisseurs. You're bound to fall for it
