SCHOEPS offers the bestsellers of the “Colette” range in the form of paired microphone kits. The wooden case contains two complete microphones with two paired MK capsules, SG20 stand adapters, B5D windscreens and CMC6 analog microphone amplifiers.
The stereo set capsules are delivered with their pairing certificate. It is a document that guarantees extremely low dispersion of level and response curve characteristics. These curves are archived, as with all SCHOEPS capsules, and serve as a reference in case they need to return to the factory for verification or repair. This is the assurance of being able to extend the great longevity of SCHOEPS products, and of ensuring that the performances, for which they were chosen, are always at their highest level.
The MK 2S is our most popular pressure transducer. Its slightly "clearer" sound (compared to the MK 2 and MK 2H) makes it ideal for use as a main microphone or surround microphone, especially in larger venues. The MK 2S has proven particularly useful in two- and three-microphone stereo configurations, where its placement close to the reverberation radius of the sound field presents balanced sound pickup favored by many audio engineers. This model has become our most popular pressure transducer.
