The MSTC is one of SCHOEPS' bestsellers. Its compact elegance and excellent spatial quality make it a classic in the standard range of audio engineers.
This microphone consists of a two-channel T-shaped microphone amplifier, to which two (paired) MK 4 cardioid capsules are screwed. They are arranged at a distance of 170 mm at an angle of 110° to each other, as required by the ORTF method.
The MSTC 74 is particularly impressive in that it generally also gives very good results without a micro spot. In addition, its placement is relatively unimportant, which makes it suitable for the rather inexperienced or busy user. Installation is quick and easy, as only one leg and one cable are required and there is no need to adjust the distance between the capsules and the offset angle of the capsules between them.
