These djembes are of traditional shape, perfectly balanced (geometry and weight). The soundboard (hand contact area) is rounded which guarantees the comfort of playing, the foot is chamfered. The drums (shells, wooden body of the djembe) are selected, they benefit from a drying in oven. After cutting, the drums are coated with shea butter and stored. Once dried, they are sanded and then waxed. This treatment reveals the beauty of the wood's veins and gives it a protective finish. The foot of the djembe is decorated with a traditional sculpture. All of these characteristics, the quality of the workmanship and the products used (wood, skins, strings), guarantee you an authentic instrument of quality.
