Description

Microphone Lavalier Miniature Omnidirectional Black DPA Microphones Omni Core 4061

This series contains the miniature microphones Omni 4060, 4061, 4062, 4063 and 4071. Each version is adapted to a specific application based on sensitivity, voltage and placement requirements. They are all based on the original 4060, the first miniature microphone developed by DPA from the best technology used only in hearing apparatus and measuring microphones. All microphones in the series share significant basic features, but each is optimized for particular applications.

The series has been developed to withstand the most difficult conditions. They contain a pre-polarized capacitor element of 5.4 mm in diameter with a vertical diaphragm. This unique dual vent protection system makes microphones very resistant to moisture and sweat. These microphones also have Kevlar reinforced cable, designed to withstand twist, curvatures and constant tractions that are part of daily use in harsh environments.

The 4060 series acoustic response can be changed by selecting the appropriate grid for the work to be performed. Two grids are supplied with each microphone (except 4071, which includes a fixed grid). The pre-mounted soft boost grid gives a soft boost of 3 dB to 8-20 kHz. It should be used when the microphone is mounted on the artist's head, as well as in most other applications where you need a microphone to natural sound. When climbing, the High Boost grid introduces a soft boost of 10 dB around 12 kHz for the applications where you prefer to place the microphone on the chest. These two grids are made of anodized stainless steel, which gives them a robust and scratch-resistant surface. They can be detached from the microphone and cleaned with sweat, makeup, etc.

Miniatures honored by the Academy
In 2021, the Governing Council of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awarded a technical completion price to DPA miniature microphones. This price is specifically addressed to Jens-Jrn Stokholm and Ole Moesmann for the innovative development of miniature and high-performance DPA miniature microphones.

4061 Miniature omnidirectional microphone, high SPL .
This microphone is acoustically identical to the miniature 4060 omnidirectional microphone, normal SPL, but its sensitivity is adjusted to adapt to higher acoustic pressure levels (SPLs).

The omnidirectional miniature microphone 4061, Loud SPL can handle SPLs up to 144 dB peak peak before clipping, making it one of the best thumbnails for use on very strong sound sources, such as certain instruments and human voices.

Strengths:
- Exceptional audio quality
- a uniform and consistent sound between DPA microphones
- Extremely robust and reliable
- Reduced size allowing flexible and easy concealment.
- Large selection of clips, windshield winds, grids and other accessories
- Modular adapter system adapting to most professional wireless systems
