Two legendary sounds in one pedal!


Because it is a combination of well-known sounds that have magnified many blues and rock albums, the association of the BluesBreaker sound with the Screamer boost is well established. Nux has decided to combine its MorningStar and TubeMan MKII pedals to deliver dual overdrive with those bright, overdriven, screaming tones that guitarists love. The MorningStar (Breaker) section offers its “Shine” mode for more treble and crystal clear overdrive. The TubeMan (Screamer) section here benefits from a new “Fat” mode that boosts bass response to improve the low end while making the sound warmer. Each section can be adjusted with the traditional drive, tone and level potentiometers to adjust your sound.

MorningStar and TubeMan reunited! The internal routing designed allows you to choose the order of your signal in series: the MorningStar section attacking the TubeMan section for a boost in volume and mid / high frequencies, or the TubeMan section towards the MorningStar in order to saturate and give more more character to the Breaker type preamp. In addition to this flexibility of the overdrive signal, the pedal allows you to choose between a True Bypass or Buffer bypass in order to preserve your sound according to your chaining. A power selector allows you to switch the internal voltage of the pedal from 9V to 18V in order to bring more dynamics and headroom to the general sound reproduction! Finally, a footswitch jack connection allows you to control the activation of the overdrive sections remotely.

Une bonne pédale de double overdrive, qui tient ses promesses au niveau du son et des possibilités de réglages. Perso, le 1er overdrive (morning star) sert à booster le son légèrement crunch d'un ampli à lampes. Puis le second overdrive (en complément du 1er), permet de bénéficier d'un canal saturé typé rock / hard rock. Une combinaison qui fonctionne bien, de mon côté.
