The PRS Horsemeat transparent overdrive is a circuit designed from the ground up to enhance the sound of the guitar without coloring it. Using germanium diodes, the Horsemeat provides a deep sound without being nasal or too high-pitched, with great harmonic richness by amplifying the low and high frequencies, while offering increased dynamics. Depending on the configuration, the Horsemeat can be used as a clean boost, directly as an overdrive, or even improve the distortion of an amp by slightly tightening the amp's preamp section.
