Why name the series Stratus?
The word «STRATUS» is the technical term that embodies a particular type of cloud formation that possesses many characteristics. Many of these aspects seemed to resonate with sound. Layers, an enveloping, gentle atmosphere. From this came our catchphrase: Take Your Sound to New Heights. The SABIAN STRATUS series offers clear articulation, warm wash and musical delivery, providing the perfect balance between versatility and professional performance. Manufactured in B20 bronze with STRATUS high-impact hammering, this series is expanding with three new models and a second STRATUS Promotional Pack.

This STRATUS pack includes a 15? hi-hat, a 19? crash and a 22? ride. The hi-hat offers an articulate attack with a warm, semi-dark diffusion. The 19? crash produces an explosive attack with rapid growth. The 22? ride is balanced with clear articulation, a warm tone and a contrasting crash effect.
