The Avantone CK-1 is a high-quality FET-based SDC (small-diaphragm condenser) mic that packs a lot more than its affordability. Although designed to complement our C-Series snare, tom and kick drum mics, the CK-1 provides optimum performance with a wide range of acoustic instruments (drum overheads, upright piano, strings and winds and more). Our signature Cabernet red finish on a finely milled brass shell, with polished nickel silver accents, visually matches perfectly (and durably) with our Drum Mic packs.
The CK-1 delivers stunning results in mono or paired for stereo applications. Cardioid, hypercardioid, and omnidirectional capsules are included, adding to the CK-1's Chameleon versatility. Premium metalized polypropylene and polystyrene caps are used, eliminating the need for costly modifications to the Hot-Rod before you even get started. True to the "Avantone way", the CK-1 is the affordable alternative that will withstand or outperform any "industry standard" mic in its class in the studio or live, with rugged reliability on the road.
