The MZ-223 is a rack-mountable mixer designed for fixed installation in shops, public establishments, restaurants, bars, theme parks, hotels, etc. It allows voice announcements and background music from different sources to be sent to three zones. Each of the 7 inputs (5 stereo, 2 mono) can be assigned to one of the three zones (or all of them).
The mixer offers 5 stereo inputs for line-level signals from analogue sources: media player, tuner, cassette deck, etc. Two of these inputs can be switched to Phono mode for connecting a turntable. Each stereo input has its own gain control, peak indicator and fader. Two additional microphone inputs, also equipped with level controls, LED level indicators and 3-band equalisers, are available for voice announcements, sound systems, karaoke, or any other application (dynamic microphones only). When used for announcements, for example, the integrated Talkover function automatically lowers the music volume according to the voice level.
Each of the three main output zones is equipped with a level control, an LED level indicator and a 3-band equaliser. There is also an independent monitoring output for the control room and a headphone output with level control for pre-fader monitoring of the selected input or one of the main outputs.
