The WA-1B faithfully recreates sought-after Scandinavian compression, loved by producers and engineers from Chris Lord-Alge to Rick Rubin. By combining the warmth of tube optical circuitry, with precision controls, the WA-1B delivers that "forgiving" musical compression, with the speed and tighter control associated with modern dynamics processing. Hand-wired to respect the sonic identity of its predecessor, the WA-1B combines large-core transformers from Lundahl Sweden, selected tubes from JJ and Tung-Sol, and a high-precision optical cartridge offering ultra-high performance. -fast, while delivering authentic analog warmth.
