The Nux Trident is a powerful and ultra-complete multi-effects unit that follows the philosophy of the famous Cerberus, but pushing the features and possibilities even further. With all its very high-quality amp and guitar effect modeling, built-in looper function, third-party IR management, MIDI management, audio interface, and computer editing software, you have the ultimate tool to easily express all your inspirations, both in the studio and on stage!
A powerful and complete multi-effects pedalboard!
After the success of the Cerberus, Nux decided to design its bigger, even more versatile and advanced brother, and here is the Trident NME-5! Its construction is very demanding, both in terms of the robust monoblock aluminum chassis and its rigorously selected components. Because it is no less than two powerful DSPs that are onboard to ensure TS/AC 4K and White-Box modeling with realistic and very inspiring sound!
The demand for amp and effect modeling has been pushed even further, for example by taking into account the 4 inputs for certain amp heads and simulating the different patch cable connections (bridging the inputs of a plexi, for example). With the ten configurable effect blocks, the chaining order of amp modeling, cabinets, modulations, delays and reverbs, and all onboard effects is infinite. No limits to your sound creations and experiments. And if the built-in impulse responses (IRs) are not enough, the Trident has 32 slots to import your own via USB. The built-in looper offers even more possibilities to layer your guitar loops and practice! It allows loops up to 30 seconds with unlimited overdubs, and the possibility to chain pre or post effects!
Total control for perfect live and studio performances!
In terms of ergonomics and settings, the Trident is designed for easy and intuitive use! The 10 footswitches allow you to navigate between presets and functions: banks/presets, activation or not of Boost/Fx/Mod/Delay/Reverb blocks, as well as the different looper functions and the built-in tuner. The amp/IR, Mod/Fx, and Delay/Reverb blocks have physical potentiometers and dedicated toggle switches for effect selection and parameter adjustment. The bright LCD screen is surrounded by 2 encoders to edit/save presets and pedalboard options. Finally, the Master Volume is a small potentiometer located on the back of the chassis.
Regarding connectivity, the Trident has everything you need to perform on stage or in the studio: two D.I XLR outputs (with ground lift) to connect directly to a mixing console or full-range speaker, two jack outputs to send sound to guitar amps, a headphone jack output for silent playing, a jack for control via an optional expression pedal, a jack-format effects loop, and an Aux In mini-jack for your backing tracks. The Trident also supports MIDI protocol via mini-jack input and output, with adapters to 5-pin DIN format provided! Finally, the USB-C port serves as an audio interface (for recording or live streaming), firmware updates, and also to manage third-party IRs and your presets in detail via the free Trident Editor™ software. With all these practical and complete features, the Trident is a very inspiring and complete multi-effects pedalboard!
